Floral Park-Bellerose School second graders participated in an outdoor planting event as part of their science unit on the life cycle of a plant, on May 12.
Each student planted a petunia flower in the front of the school building and received a petunia to take home. Following the planting, the students decorated their own flowerpots. Families were invited to attend and assist the students.
The flowers were donated by the PTA.
