A Central Islip man was arrested in Old Westbury early Sunday for driving while intoxicated, according to Nassau County police.

Jose Saravia, 41, was driving with his 12-year-old daughter when officers pulled him over, police said.

Saravia had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and the smell of alcohol on his breath, a news release said.

Police had observed multiple traffic violations before pulling him over, it said.

The arrest occurred at 3:15 a.m. Saravia’s charges included aggravated driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a child.

The 12-year-old’s mother retrieved her from the scene, police said.
