The Board of Trustees of the Village of Kings Point, at a regular meeting held on Thursday, October 13, 2022, duly adopted Local Law 24 of 2022, which reads as follows:Local Law 24 of 2022, a local law amending the definition of ìFloor Areaî in ß 161-3, Definitions, of Chapter 161, Zoning, of the Code of the Village of Kings Point.Be it enacted by the Board of Trustees of the Village Kings Point.Section 1. Subdivision 2, of subsection A, of the definition of ìFloor Areaî in ß 161-3, Definitions, of Chapter 161, Zoning, of the Code of the Village of Kings Point, is hereby amended, to read as follow:ì(2) Floor space of each story above the basement and below the attic, irrespective of its use. The floor space in excess of 400 square feet of any area with a structural headroom of 15 feet or more shall be counted twice.îSection 2. Subsection B, said definition of ìFloor Areaî in ß 161-3, is hereby amended, by adding a new subdivision 10, to read:ì(10) The first 200 square feet of roof overhangs of a dwelling that extend more than five feet from the dwelling to which they are attached, if approved by the Architectural and Preliminary Site Review Board as a purely architectural detail Section 3. Effective date. This local law shall take effect immediately.
