NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Town of North Hempstead – Board of Zoning Appeals Pursuant to the provisions of the Code of the Town of North Hempstead, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Zoning Appeals of said Town will meet at Town Hall, 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset, New York, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 to consider any matters that may properly be heard by said Board, and will hold a public hearing on said date to consider applications and appeals. The following cases will be called at said public hearing starting at 10:00am. APPEAL #21448 – Rakesh Malpani; 19 Johnstone Road, Great Neck, Section 2, Block 171, Lot 35; Zoned: Residence-AVariances from 70-29 and 70-30 to construct additions that are too close to the street and make a home too big. APPEAL #21476.A – DLC Properties; 17 Water Mill Lane, Great Neck; Section 2, Block 42, Lot 269; Zoned: Business-AConditional use ßß70-126(D) and variances from ß70-125, 70-103(O), 70-203(T)(2)(a)(2) to construct a car wash and renovate a space for a vehicle drop off facility (a prohibited use) with parking space dimensions that are too small, not enough vehicle standing spaces, and storage of vehicles for sale (a conditional use). APPEAL #21476.B – DLC Properties; 37-39 Water Mill Lane, Great Neck; Section 2, Block 42, Lot 302; Zoned: Business-AVariances from ßß70-103.F(1), 70-103.A(1), 70-231, and 70-125 to convert a warehouse building to a vehicle repair shop (a prohibited use) with not enough parking or loading areas and parking spaces that are too small. Any member of the public is able to attend and participate in a BZA hearing by appearing on the scheduled date and time.  Comments are limited to 3 minutes per speaker.
