PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Appeals of the Village of Great Neck will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2023 at the Village Hall of the Village of Great Neck, 767 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck, New York 11024, to consider the following application: The application of Gan Israel Center, as owner, for the premises located at 778 Middle Neck Road, Great Neck, New York, for relief from the BZA Decision adopted December 5, 2013 and amended February 3, 2016 and for relief from the following sections of the Code of the Village of Great Neck for a synagogue. 1. ß575-155 Parking in Residence Districts- G. For uses subject to Board of Trustees approval pursuant to ß 575-170.9 of this chapter, parking shall be provided as specified by the Board in accordance with Subsection H of said section. (ß 575-170.9 H. With respect to places of public assembly, including but not limited to theaters, restaurants, schools, churches, assembly halls, etc., the Board shall ensure that there are adequate on-premises parking facilities to handle the maximum projected attendance.)2. Condition 4 in the 12/5/2013 BZA Decision ì The cellar shall be used solely for mechanical equipment and storage and not as habitable space.îThe premises are also known as Section 1, Block 128, Lot 526 on the Nassau County Land and Tax Map and are located in the Residence E District.
