NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Town of North Hempstead – Board of Zoning AppealsPursuant to the provisions of the Code of the Town of North Hempstead, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Zoning Appeals of said Town will meet at Town Hall, 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset, New York, on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 to consider any matters that may properly be heard by said Board, and will hold a public hearing on said date to consider applications and appeals. The following cases will be called at said public hearing starting at 10:00am. APPEAL #21385 – Matthew & Heather Perceval; 12A Henderson Avenue, Port Washington; Section 4, Block 38, Lot 26; Zoned: Residence-C Variance from ß70-49.C to construct additions that make the house too big. APPEAL #21386 – Bob Campbell; 72 Murray Avenue, Port Washington; Section 5, Block 58, Lot 139; Zoned: Residence-A Variance from ß70-100.2(K) to install a generator that is too close to the side property line. APPEAL #21387 ñ Adam Block; 13 Wakefield Ave., Port Washington, Section 6, Block 65, Lot 26; Zoned: Residence-B Variances from ßß 70-40.A and 70-229.A to reconstruct an existing attached garage that is too close to the street and not in compliance with a prior BZA approval. APPEAL #21356 ñ Port Washington Yacht Club, Inc.; 1 Yacht Club Dr., Port Washington, Section 5, Block C, Lots 191, 216, 236, 303, 304, 435, 443 & 460; Zoned Residence-A Appeal for determination of ß70-24 (permitted uses) or in the alternative a conditional use under ß70-25 to permit the storage of boats (outdoor storage) at the yacht club; Appeal for determination or in the alternative modification of prior BZA approval (Appeal #16079) condition 2 to legalize paving over a landscaped area not in compliance with prior BZA approval as required by ß70-229.A; and Appeal for determination or in the alternative variance ß 70-100.1.A to legalize accessory structures which are located within a front yard.Plans are available for public viewing at https://northhempsteadny.gov/bza. †Persons interested in viewing the full file may do so by any time before the scheduled hearing by contacting the BZA department via e-mail at BZAdept@northhempsteadny.gov. †Additionally, the public may view the live stream of this meeting at https://northhempsteadny.gov/townboardlive.
