On the first night of Hanukah, Dec. 7, the Greater Roslyn Chamber of Commerce celebrated the holiday season with the annual Menorah and Christmas Tree Lighting. A crowd came to listen to Hanukkah songs and prayers, led by Rabbi Cara Weinstein Rosenthal and Cantor Ofer Barnoy of Temple Beth Sholom, and Christmas songs, sung by Roslyn Trinity Church. Roslyn Chamber VP of Events, Lou Federico, welcomed everyone and introduced the guests.
Roslyn Chamber was represented by President Mimi Howard, VP of Marketing Barbara Kaplan, and additional VPs and board members Melissa Spitalnick, Garnet Ardila, Graciela Hall, Gwen Levy, and Kate Lumetta.
Diane’s Bakery and The Meat Market donated tasty desserts, which were eaten along with hot cocoa, compliments of Delicacies.
