The Port Washington School District is expanding its current Universal pre-K (UPK) program for the 2022-23 school year. This program is state-funded and there will be no cost associated for families upon enrollment.

To be eligible for the Port Washington School District’s UPK program, your child must live within the Port Washington School District and turn 4 years old by Dec. 1.

The Port Washington UPK will be able to accommodate a limited number of students. The UPK Program will comprise a full-day program operating five days a week and will follow the Port Washington School District calendar. Transportation will be provided to and from Daly Elementary School.

If we have more families interested than we can accommodate, a lottery will be held to decide the students who will be enrolled in the UPK program. Students’ names that are drawn after the class is full will be placed on a waiting list. As a spot opens up, families will be notified via email.

To register, you must complete a UPK packet and all required documents must be completed by Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. If packets are incomplete, you will be notified, and have until the Aug. 12 deadline to submit any incomplete information. More information can be found at www.portnet.org.
