On July 11, state Sen. Anna M. Kaplan (D-North Hills) stopped by FunDay Monday at North Hempstead Beach Park to see some old friends and some new ones. The cherished weekly event hosted by the Town of North Hempstead gives seniors an opportunity to socialize, have some fun, and get some physical activity.
Kaplan said “seniors built our communities, and we owe it to them to be able to enjoy their retirement, and what better way than all together down by the water on a beautiful summer day. I always love seeing my friends at FunDay Monday, and I can’t wait to come back next week!”
