Plainview native held hostage by Hamas to be honored by American Jewish Committee

Omer Neutra, a resident of Plainview who was kidnapped during the attack on Israel by Hamas on Oct. 7, will be honored at the annual meeting of the American Jewish Committee Long Island. The event will be held at Midway Jewish Center in Syosset, where Neutra is a member.

Also slated to be at the event will be AJC CEO Ted Deutch, who will be in conversation with incoming AJC Long Island President Jim Neuwirth, and former congressmen Lee Zeldin and Steve Israel, who initiated a bipartisan group to support Israel.

The event will also honor current president Arnie Herz for his years of service.
