G.N. resident Erin Lipinsky sets fundraising record at 2022 Freezin’ for a Reason Polar Plunge

On Saturday, March 19, Great Neck resident Erin Lipinsky raised $23,290 for Special Olympics New York at the Annual Polar Plunge.

This year marks Erin’s eighth plunge where he broke his own fundraising record, once again making him the top individual fundraiser of the event. The plunge took place at Tobay Beach in Massapequa.

Along with family and friends, Erin’s coach, Ronnie Campbell, and members of the Alert Fire Company, cheered him on.

Erin was joined by many others from the community who support Special Olympics New York every year by raising funds from family and friends—and then splashing into frigid fall and winter waters.

The Polar Plunge supports year-round sports training and competition and health and inclusion programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in your community. Erin has been a longtime member of the Great Neck Spirits Basketball Team for Special Olympics.

All money raised helps to provide year-round sports training and competition, health and inclusion programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities in your Special Olympics New York community.
