
Employees of multiple North Shore stores were charged April 17 with selling alcohol and nicotine to underage customers without asking for identification, police said.
During the investigation, police charged two others with operating illegal gambling machines.
Abdulkarim Abdo Noaman Hauter, 23, of Manhattan sold two nicotine products to underage customers at Smoke Shop in Williston Park at 579 Willis Ave., police said. He was issued two appearance tickets in Hempstead’s First District Court on May 3.
A man identified as Sachin, 23, of Hicksville, sold a nicotine product and two alcoholic beverages to underage customers at Mineola Cigar and Vapor at 124 East Jericho Turnpike, police said. He was issued four appearance tickets for May 3 in Hempstead.
Alexis Guinanzaca, 24, of Roslyn Heights, sold alcohol beverages to underage customers at AAC Convenience Store at 90-12 East Jericho Turnpike in Mineola, police said. He was issued two appearance tickets for May 3 in Hempstead.
During the investigation, officers said they observed three males operating two illegal gambling machines and gave the store manager, Miriam Calderon Gonzalez, 34 ,of Great Neck, two appearance tickets for May 3 in Hempstead.
Jose Granados, 40, of Mineola, was charged with operating a gambling machine and placed under arrest after after it was determined that there was a warrant for his arrest for an open alcohol container, police said.
