The East Williston Fire Department responded to a house fire the morning of Dec. 23, police said.

At 11:45 a.m., police were dispatched to Robbins Drive where Sgt. Frank Pontillo, the first officer on scene, located the fire coming from an exhaust fan in second-floor bathroom.

Pontillo entered the house with a fire extinguisher and put out the fire before it was able to spread. The East Williston Fire Department and other officers from the Third Precinct were on scene, police said. No injuries were reported.
