
A homeless man was charged Sunday with an attempted burglary Sunday night in Mineola, Nassau County Police said.
Terrance Fews, 58, allegedly tried to open the front door of a home on Pennsylvania Avenue at 11:20 p.m. and gain entry before leaving the property, police said. Surveillance saw Fews trying to get into the home, where he was unsuccessful and nothing was stolen, police said.
Fews was found by authorities outside the 3rd Precinct Stationhouse and placed under arrest, police said.
Fews is charged with second-degree burglary and arraigned in Hempstead on Monday, Jan. 8.
