A public hearing with the Williston Park Board of Trustees to consider an application by Albert Zolezzi Auto Body to expand their property was pushed back to late October.
The board unanimously approved the request Monday after counsel for the auto body shop requested a 60-day adjournment to Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.
Zolezzi’s application includes constructing a new addition to the property for automotive mechanical repairs, according to village documents.
In other village news, Mayor Paul Ehrbar said it has been an exceptional summer and that many residents have complimented the improvements at Roger Fay Williston Park Pool.
Additions and improvements this year include new bathroom stalls, diving boards, lounge chairs, umbrellas and work on the parking lot, among other things.
“The staff is doing a great job,” Ehrbar said.
Ehrbar also acknowledged the village’s beautification committee for the work they do throughout Williston Park. The village’s employee and volunteer appreciation night is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 6 p.m.
The final summer concert at Kelleher Field will be this Friday at 7:30 p.m. featuring the Hambones. Residents are asked to bring chairs and coolers to the event.
