Local first responders raced to a fuel truck on fire in Mineola Jan. 1.

At 5:20 p.m., police officers responded to 80 Windsor Ave. near Windsor Fuel for a fire in the cabin of a 2014 Mac truck, causing diesel fuel to spill onto the roadway, police said. No injuries were reported at the scene

The Williston Park and Mineola Fire Departments were among those on the scene.

The Nassau County Fire Marshal, Town of North Hempstead and state Department of Environmental Conservation responded to contain the spill, police said.
