Fire breaks out of Mineola residential roof: police

A fire broke out in a two-story home in Mineola on Monday evening, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Officials said officers arrived at the scene before 7 p.m. Monday and saw flames coming out of the roof of the home at 176 Andrews Road.  Fire departments that responded to the call included Mineola, East Williston, Williston Park, Garden City and Carle Place, according to social media posts.

Officials said no injuries were reported from the fire, which was reportedly under control within 30 minutes. Efforts to reach officials from the Nassau County fire marshal’s office for information were unavailing.
