State Assemblywoman Gina L. Sillitti (D-Port Washington) announced that she distributed over 3,000 COVID-19 rapid test kits to our first responders and frontline community organizations to help our residents stay safe and healthy.
“While fatigue is completely understandable after two challenging years battling this pandemic, it’s critical that we continue taking steps to protect ourselves and others,” said Sillitti. “My office provided free test kits to a host of locations throughout our communities and I’ll continue working with local stakeholders to protect our families and safeguard public health.”
Sillitti distributed the free COVID-19 test kits at local fire departments, food banks, libraries, police stations, senior centers and schools.
“Since our inception, throughout the pandemic and continuing always, Sid Jacobson JCC’s top goal is to care for community. As we strive to keep everyone who enters our building as safe as possible, we are grateful to Assemblywoman Gina Sillitti for providing us with COVID test kits for our vulnerable clients and volunteers actively serving the community,” said Susan Berman, Vice President of Community Engagement, Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center.
“We are grateful for the continued support in accomplishing our mission to keep the public and our first responders healthy and safe,” said Kevin McCarroll, Assistant Chief, Port Washington Police District.
Residents can also receive a free test kit from her district office by calling 516-482-6966 to arrange a pick-up time. Test kits are available while supplies last and will be distributed on a first come, first served basis.
