A Port Washington man was arrested on Monday after threatening a woman and trying to steal her car, Port Washington Police Chief James Salerno said.
Pablo Andeas Cerda-Salazar, 25, a Manorhaven resident, was seen walking on Main Street near Port Washington Boulevard and North Maryland Avenue attempting to break into multiple vehicles, Salerno said in a release.
Responding officers located Cerda-Salazar and arrested him for second-degree attempted robbery of a vehicle and two bench warrants.
Salerno said he couldn’t comment on the case because it’s an on-going investigation.
Cerda-Salazar was arraigned in Nassau County First District Court on Tuesday and remanded without bail.
