Police are investigating a robbery on Saturday at the Citibank on Northern Boulevard in Flower Hill, at least the fourth robbery in the area in the last two weeks.
Detectives said a man approached a teller with a note demanding money while displaying a handgun. He then left the bank and fled west through the parking lot on foot. Authorities have not revealed the amount of money he took.
The suspect is described as a black male with an average build who is approximately 6 feet tall. He wore a light-colored hooded jacket, black pants, gloves and face mask, police said.
There were eight employees and no customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
Last week, police charged Loreti Ferri, 49, of Hempstead, with robbing three banks in Garden City, Mineola and Merrick.
