“Winning a championship is a team effort and the Northwell Health Orthopaedic Institute is proud to have been part of this team’s successful season,” Sgaglione said . “We have worked closely with management, coaches, players, and medical staff to keep the New York Cosmos on the field playing their best.”
Dr. Andrew D. Goodwillie and Dr. Randy M. Cohn also served as respective head team physician and associate team physician.
The Cosmos finished with a 14-5-3 record and defeated the Indy Eleven on penalty kicks to win the 2016 title on Sunday, Nov. 13.
