New Hyde Park Memorial High School students participated in the Junior Achievement High School Heroes program at John Lewis Childs School in Floral Park on May 5.

The High School Heroes program provides students with the opportunity to become role models by teaching and inspiring elementary students. The high school students worked in teams to teach the kindergarten, first and second graders. As teachers for the day, they taught five interactive lessons with the themes “Ourselves,” “Our Family” and “Our Community.”
