The Center for Science Teaching & Learning is offering kids prices of $12 to all patrons for its expanded Dinosaurs! and Animal Adventure exhibit the week of April 16-24 (closed Wednesdays). Additionally, with paid admission, children can participate in a special dinosaur egg hunt on the nature trails.
The egg hunt will provide children with an exciting way to visit the trails and find special eggs along the way. Dinosaurs! And Animal Adventure is the only engaging attraction of its kind on Long Island combining animatronic dinosaurs, skeletal dinosaurs, and live animals together in the same exhibition.
Over the past two years the exhibit has become a highly popular family-friendly attraction.
“During their school break, as parents look for activities to do with their kids, we wanted to host an egg hunt with a dinosaur twist,” said Dr. Ray Ann Havasy, executive director of CSTL.
The Dinosaurs! And Animal Adventure exhibit focuses on how animals adapt and survive. This is demonstrated through a unique intermixing of dinosaur models and live animals together. It is housed at CSTL’s 35,000 square foot WAC Lighting Hall of Science at its Tanglewood Preserve headquarters located at 1450 Tanglewood Road in Rockville Centre. School children and families from the New York region and beyond are expected to visit this exhibit annually to experience more than 80 unique displays.
As a science education-focused not-for-profit organization, CSTL is dedicated to providing people of all ages with a place to engage in both formal and informal learning. CSTL also creates signature corporate programs and delivers educational workshops.
Dinosaurs! and Animal Adventure is open every day except Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are normally $15 for anyone 13 and older, $12 for children 1-12 yrs. old. Tickets can only be purchased on site.
