County opens Santa’s boxes

A network of Santa’s mailboxes was recently announced in various Nassau County Parks, which will run through Friday, Dec. 16 for children of Nassau County to send their holiday lists directly to Santa Claus at the North Pole.
The Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums will forward letters to Santa at the North Pole, according to a press release from the Nassau County executive office.
Letters received by Friday, Dec. 16 with a legible name and return address will be answered by Santa before the holiday — there is no postage necessary.
Colorful red and green mailboxes will be accessible from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the administration buildings of the following parks:
Cantiague Park in Hicksville — 571-7056
