North Hempstead Council Member Veronica Lurvey joined with the New Hyde Park Chinese Association for the Long Island Multicultural Festival held on Saturday, July 8 at Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson.
The event featured a celebration of the different cultures that make up Long Island and included music performances and delicious food.
Children were treated to a very special kids zone with storytelling, games, and more. Also in attendance were former state Sen. Anna Kaplan and Christine Liu representing New York atate Assemblywoman Gina Sillitti.
