Last week, despite the super cold weather the Manor Oaks School hosted its Sixth Annual Turkey Trot.
Physical education teacher, Mrs. Santos, organizes the event and it continues to get bigger each year.
The students are able to run the race or they can just do the fun run. They can come dressed in Thanksgiving themed costumes as part of a costume contest.
There were some great home made costumes this year, including Thanksgiving tables with real food, Pumpkin Pie, Mashed potatoes and as always Pilgrims and Indians
In order to participate in the event, students must bring in at least one non perishable food item which is donated to families in need for the holidays. This year our food drive brought in more food than last year!
