In a mostly individual sport, the Port Washington girls track and field team keeps shining as a unit.
The Vikings won their fourth consecutive county team track title (spanning two years of winter and spring seasons) by besting Oceanside to win the Nassau County meet this spring.
Individual winners for Port Washington included Bella Lucas in the long jump, Eve Siff-Scheer in the steeplechase and Emily Bosworth in the discus throw.
Just about every local school had athletes place in the Top 3 on the girls side at the Nassau County meets, including, starting with Class AA:
—Roslyn: Diana Santos finished 3rd in the shot put; and fourth in discus, while Ariella Aminov was second in the discus throw.
—Manhasset: Dominique Randall finished 3rd in pole vault.
Sophia Marchioli was second in the 3,000 steeple, while teammate Joanna Kenney was right behind her in third.
Liam Brady grabbed third place in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
