
Christine Liu lives in New Hyde Park with her husband of 20 years, her two children, and her beloved pup Sunny. She moved from Queens in 2011.
She has served as a leader in the PTA, a Little League coach for both baseball and softball, and a Girl Scout leader. Liu is the vice chair of the Nassau County Asian American Advisory Council.
She is the founder and president of the Herricks Chinese Association which purchased personal protective equipment for hospitals and delivered meals to seniors and those in need during the pandemic. She has organized rallies, peace vigils and self-defense classes to combat Asian hate throughout the town and county.
As an attorney, Liu was assistant chief counsel for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and currently works for state Assemblywoman Gina Sillitti as a community liaison to resolve constituent issues.
