New Hyde Park Memorial High School students Cynthia Park, Gina Lee, and Vincent Huang were recognized in the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards contest.

Park and Lee were awarded Silver and Gold Keys, and Huang received a Silver Key. By earning Gold Keys, Park and Lee will move forward to be judged on the national level.

This year, students nationwide submitted nearly 340,000 works of visual art and writing to the Scholastic Awards. Approximately 90,000 works were recognized at the regional level and celebrated in local exhibitions and ceremonies.
