Floral Park Memorial High School students Tulah Chatterton and Maria Palagian have been nominated to compete in the Roger Rees Awards for their performances in the school’s recent musical, “Beauty and the Beast.”
Palagian has been nominated for her role as Belle, and Chatterton for her role as Mrs. Potts. They have made the top 20 female performers from all of New York State and will move onto a training and adjudication with Broadway professionals on May 21. They will then sing in front of a panel to be considered for the honor of Outstanding Performer.
