Elmont Memorial High School senior and valedictorian Yusef Lateef has been named a semifinalist in the 2023-2024 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Lateef was selected as one of 1,514 high school seniors from over 100,000 applicants nationwide. He was selected due to his academic excellence, leadership, and service demonstrated in school and community activities.
Lateef is now moving on to the next round of the selection process to potentially become a Coca-Cola Scholar and receive a $20,000 college scholarship. Semifinalists are invited to complete a Phase 2 application with essays, a recommendation and transcript.
