Sewanhaka district chorus students perform at December board of education meeting

During the Sewanhaka Central High School District Board of Education meeting on Dec. 20, attendees, administrators, principals and board members enjoyed performances by chorus students from all five school buildings: Elmont Memorial, Floral Park Memorial, H. Frank Carey, New Hyde Park Memorial and Sewanhaka.

The students lined the perimeter of the board room at Sewanhaka High School to sing “Joy to the World,” “Carol of the Bells,” “Deck the Halls” and “Jingle Bell Rock,” led by Sewanhaka Choir Director Rachel Daloia, New Hyde Park Memorial Choir Director Christian McLeer, Floral Park Memorial Choir Director Samantha Koch and Elmont Memorial Choir Director Benjamin Pesenti, respectively.

They received a standing ovation at the conclusion of their performance.
