Roslyn High School’s Hilltop Beacon wins big at Quill Awards

Roslyn High School’s Hilltop Beacon newspaper was awarded second place overall in the category of Most Outstanding Newspaper at the Quill Awards—held at Adelphi University on Feb. 17.

Junior Noah Finkelstein was awarded second place in the Most Outstanding Reporter category. Junior Benji Rabinovich was awarded second place in the Best Sports Story category for his article “Boys Volleyball Falls Short in County Final.” Junior Lucas Weisser was awarded first place in the Photo or Art category for his photo “Boys Volleyball Returns to County Final for 2nd Straight Year.”

“We are so proud of the writers for their hard work this year,” faculty advisor Jolene Grgas Segal said. “This acknowledgment proves their deep dedication to their craft.”
