North Shore Middle School students win PitchIt! news literacy essay contest

Hearty congratulations to Nina Livingston and the North Shore Middle School students including Maria Michael, Genevieve Hudin, and Olivia Kenny for winning the PitchIt! News Literacy Essay Contest.

The students conducted research addressing three prompts:

They will now participate in a Zoom meeting with professional Journalists Colleen Wright of the Miami Herald and Jessica Bakeman of WLRN, South Florida’s NPR member station.

“We couldn’t be more proud,” said Ms. Julie Ritter, Director of Secondary English Language Arts.
