Despite the heavy rain, Roslyn sports fans came out on Sept. 23 to watch the Roslyn Bulldogs homecoming football game. Varsity and JV volleyball games were also held inside the school gymnasiums in the morning.
Homecoming Day was the culmination of Spirit Week—a weeklong spirit-building initiative designed to build excitement for the big game. A robust schedule of games in a variety of sports led up to the football event on Saturday, which kicked off with the annual pancake breakfast at 11 a.m. in the Roslyn High School cafeteria—served up by Roslyn administrators and staff.
“Even though the weather didn’t cooperate with us this year, we still had a fantastic week of competitive games, spirited pep rallies and a really fun pancake breakfast for the community,” Superintendent Allison Brown said. “It’s always wonderful to see the Roslyn community come together for this special time of year.”
Prior to Homecoming Day, the high school hosted a pep rally in the gym on Setp. 22. Students, faculty and staff filled the bleachers to watch students compete in several fun games, as well as performances by the Roslyn High School Cheerleaders.
