The artwork of two students from Mrs. Schoenberg’s class was selected for inclusion in the Cornell Cooperative Extension’s 2023 Gardening Calendar and Guide. Maya Burko’s submission is a mixed media lemon made from collaged pieces of magazine, newspaper, and watercolor. Brooke Zheng (who submitted two mixed media pieces in the competition) used color pencil, graphite, and collage to create her artwork. Each student was given a certificate of accomplishment and a complimentary calendar.

“I am extremely proud of these two students who took the initiative to submit their artwork for this competition,” said Mrs. Schoenberg. “I’m very pleased to see their artwork featured in the Cornell Gardening calendar.”
