
Roslyn High School senior Isabelle Tenner was honored by the Roslyn Rotary Club at its luncheon on Oct. 17 as the October Student of the Month.
Isabelle’s community service has included volunteering for Friends for Friends, an organization where children with special needs can interact positively with other children. Her role as chairman included planning for special events, activities and games.
She has also served as a one-on-one counselor at Sunrise Day Camp which hosts kids with cancer and their siblings, and volunteers at New York University Winthrop Hospital, assisting doctors, staff members and patients.
Isabelle also aids children with their homework and assignments at Sid Jacobson Jewish Community Center, in addition to tutoring students in reading and writing as well as serving as a drama coach.
