North High musicians to perform at Carnegie Hall

Three ensembles from North High School will perform at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, March 1, at 8:30 p.m. in the Stern Auditorium. This performance marks North High’s fifteenth appearance at this world-famous venue.

While the instrumentalists in all three ensembles are North High students, the conductors hail from three different Great Neck schools: the String Orchestra will perform under the direction of Patrick Kennedy, instrumental music teacher at the John F. Kennedy School; the Wind Ensemble will perform under the direction of Matthew Trinkwald, music department head/instrumental music teacher at North Middle; and the Symphony Orchestra will perform under the direction of Joseph Rutkowski, instrumental music director at North High.
