Sewanhaka High School science teacher Yvonne Sherwood has been named Teacher of the Month for October.
Sherwood is the adviser of the school’s Green Club, which participates in many activities such as recycling, fundraising and cleaning the school’s grounds.
She is also Sewanhaka’s lead earth science teacher, and always attempts new and different techniques to help students understand the concepts of earth science.
She is available for extra help every day before and after school, and keeps in close contact with parents to keep them apprised of their child’s progress.
