Manor Oaks School second graders recently took part in a “Which Beak Is Best?” experiment during their Project Lead the Way lesson with Salvatore Giurlanda.

The experiment asked the students to predict which type of beak would be best adapted to pick up the “food”: marbles, straws or toothpicks. They used a plastic spoon, tweezer and clothespin as their “beaks.” They recorded how much “food” was picked up with each type of “beak.”
