Sewanhaka High School students, staff and community joined together for the homecoming celebration on Oct. 21.
Inclement weather brought the parade and festivities indoors, as the marching band led in school clubs, cheerleaders, the homecoming court and more into the gymnasium. During the ceremony, the Twirlers, Rockettes, marching band and varsity cheerleaders performed. The homecoming court was also recognized, with Syed Hussain and Brooke Scicutella named as this year’s homecoming royalty. Senior members of the cheerleading squad and varsity football team were also specially acknowledged.
Following the ceremony, Sewanhaka hosted Herricks High School. While Sewanhaka’s team played hard, they unfortunately lost with a score of 35-14.
