On Saturday, April 6, Herricks Middle School’s Chamber Choir performed as part of the Oyster Bay Three Choirs Festival, sponsored by the New York Chapter of the American Choral Director’s Association. The festival took place at First Presbyterian Church and Christ Church in Oyster Bay, where Theodore Roosevelt was once a congregant.

Along with choirs from the Green Vale School and North Shore Middle School, Herricks singers, and their director James Ludwig participated in rehearsals and workshops with Jennifer Miceli of LIU Post University.

Miceli was impressed with all of the choirs, saying to the audience that the concert featured some of “the highest quality middle school choral music” she had heard on Long Island.
