South High School students Jakeline Arevalo and Melissa Ceron have been named Students of the Quarter for their respective programs at the Nassau BOCES (Boards of Cooperative Education Services) Barry Tech.
Jakeline is enrolled the Dental Assisting Program, and Melissa is enrolled in the Medical Assisting Program at BOCES Barry Tech. Both of these South High seniors plan to continue their studies in the medical and health fields at college in the fall.
Students of the Quarter are selected based on grades, attendance, work ethic and preparedness. Honorees take the initiative on class projects and serve as role models for their fellow students, in both the classroom and the workplace.
