
Programs airing on Great Neck Public Schools Television for the month of November are “South High Opera,” “South Middle Spotlight,” “Focus on Education,” and “Names Not Numbers Documentary.”
GNPS/TV programs are available on demand, 24/7, on the school district website, www.greatneck.k12.ny.us/tv. Programs can also be viewed in the incorporated villages of Great Neck on Optimum Channel 75 and on Verizon Fios Channel 32.

South High Opera
Each spring, the South High School Performing Arts Department continues the school’s tradition of presenting a professional-caliber opera production that is staged, costumed, and performed with full orchestra by students. Tune in to GNPS/TV to enjoy the performance of Le Nozze di Figaro, which was presented on March 31 and April 1, 2023.
South High Opera airs at 7 a.m., and 12:30 and 6 p.m.
South Middle Spotlight
South Middle Spotlight is a program that highlights a variety of school activities and performances. This edition includes South Middle programs from spring 2023, including the annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser, career day, Relay for Life field day, and a montage from the musical performance of Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.
South Middle Spotlight airs at 9:30 a.m., and 3 and 8:30 p.m.
Focus on Education
Focus on Education is a longstanding series highlighting what’s new and interesting in the Great Neck Public Schools. For the inaugural episode of this school year, Board of Education President Rebecca Sassouni hosts an introduction and conversation with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kenneth R. Bossert, who joined the district in August 2023.
Focus on Education airs at 10 a.m., and at 3:30 and 9 p.m.
Names, Not Numbers Documentary
During the 2022–23 school year, 15 North High students participated in the Names, Not Numbers project under the guidance of faculty advisor Hanna Bokhour, Hebrew teacher. This film documents the lives and stories of three Holocaust survivors as told through the research and in-person interviews conducted by North High students.
Names, Not Numbers is an interactive, multi-media Holocaust film documentary project created by educator Tova Rosenberg. The program is generously supported by a prominent national foundation.
Names, Not Numbers Documentary airs at 11 a.m., and 4:30 and 10 p.m.
