As part of a school-wide Community Helpers unit, the students at the Florence Brownstein Preschool met Dr. Sharon Somekh, pediatrician and founder of Raiseology.
Somekh discussed with the children what she does to make sure children stay healthy. She explained the various tools she uses, such as a stethoscope, thermometer and an otoscope, the device used to look into ears. She engaged students to participate in sharing their healthy habits and alleviated some natural fears some of us have about doctors’ visits.
