John Lewis Childs School first graders participated in a 100th day of school celebration on Feb. 15.
Dressed in handmade shirts adorned with 100 pom-poms, 100 gems, 100 googly-eyeballs and other items, the students joined together in the cafeteria to participate in fun 100-themed activities. They made predictions about how many times they could complete tasks, such as writing their names and singing the alphabet, in 100 seconds; completed a 100-piece puzzle; filled in missing numbers on a 100 chart; completed writing sentences such as, “If I had $100, I would buy…”; and did 10 sets of 10 different exercises.
