Five Floral Park-Bellerose School students received Cultural Arts Awards for their writing submissions in the General Federation of Women’s Clubs New York Island Metro-District creative writing contest.
The award winners include John Duncan, First Place Short Story; Lily Trentacoste, First Place Short Story; Ava Viola, First Place Poetry; Oscar Fattorini, Second Place Short Story; and Emma Wong, Third Place Short Story.
The first-place winners will advance to the state level, where they will be judged along with other first-place winners from New York State.
