Four Floral Park-Bellerose School students presented on the school’s new Studio Broadcast Club at the district’s board of education meeting on April 3.

Giannina Cancellarich, Alexa Leveque, Lily Trentacoste and James Viola led a presentation on the club and its activities. The students discussed how they have arranged interviews with staff and local small businesses for their broadcasting segments. The anchors are recorded using a green screen and utilize the teleprompter app “Parrot” to remember their lines. They are also responsible for cutting, editing and merging clips together by using iMovie.

The club was started this school year for students to pursue an interest in broadcasting. It is run by Floral Park-Bellerose School third grade teacher Nicole Demieri.
