Floral Park Memorial High School announced that senior Shane Palma has been named a semifinalist in the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. T
his is an achievement-based scholarship that is awarded to students in recognition of their capacity to lead and serve in their schools and communities. Shane is competing for one of 150 college scholarships worth $20,000.
Shane is most recognized at Floral Park Memorial for his commitment to volunteerism, in addition to his outstanding academic achievement. He plans to study digital journalism in college. Shane was recognized for this exciting accomplishment by Principal Maria Hecht and school counselor Walter Cook.
