Elmont Memorial High School Principal Kevin Dougherty was selected a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars. Mr. Dougherty was nominated by junior Munahil Sultana for his outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in the profession.
Each year, student members of the National Society of High School Scholars are invited to nominate an educator who has made the most significant contribution to their academic career for this award, which celebrates exemplary educators whose passion and devotion inspire their students to grow and develop as scholars, leaders and citizens.
